Wines on a Dime
This week for Wine Down Wednesday, I wanted to share my favorite wines on a dime. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a nice bottle of Cakebread or Faust Cabernet Sauvignon but I usually reserve those for special occasions. The below options are all under $12!
Bogle Vineyards Petite Sirah 2016 has been my favorite for years! It’s barrel aged in American Oak for 12 months and has notes of blueberries, brown sugar and cocoa! Typically, you can find this for $8.99!
Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 is a really easy drink. I do like to chill this wine and I think it really brings out the bourbon and coffee flavors. You can find this for around $10-12.
Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 has easily become my go-to cab! It’s under $10 at my local grocery store. It has hints of blackberries, caramel and toasted oak.
Bogle Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 is a new wine I recently tried. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this one! It’s not as dry as I typically like my cabs but overall a nice wine for $9.99!
Also, the older I get the more trouble I have with getting a headache after one or two glasses of red wine. I’ve noticed that none of the wines listed above have had that effect on me. Major bonus!
Now pass the bubbly (or red wine),
