Behind the Blog: Ten Fun Facts

Hi Y’all! If this is the first post you are reading, welcome! To get more insight on why I started The Champagne of Life, head on over to the About Me section! Otherwise, enjoy a few fun facts about me!

  1. I love a good cheeseboard - I’m talking the works! Give me all the salami, spreads and grapes - gotta have those grapes! However, I am not a blue cheese kind of girl. I just can’t. Funny side note, on my first date with my (now) husband, we went to a wine bar. We were both so nervous that he asked me what cheeseboard we should get, and he suggested the little boy blue. I agreed and we kept talking. Then…the cheeseboard arrived. In case you didn’t catch that, little boy blue is all blue cheese! We cracked up laughing and I didn’t want to make him feel bad, so I ate it. Never again!

  2. I love a good photobooth, especially a GIF one!

  3. Disney all the way! I grew up as a Disney child and I can’t wait to introduce my kids to all the magic. I even named my first dog Princess Jasmine because the love is deep, that and I got her when I was 4.

  4. My parents started a tradition of giving their dog’s elaborate names. It only made sense that when I got my first dog as an adult, I followed suit. That’s why Punkin’s full name is Little Miss Pumpkin Pie.

  5. I had my gallbladder out at a “young age”, according to my doctor. It took two years and four doctors to figure out what was wrong!

  6. I have a very small but mighty family. Only child and only grandchild.

  7. Speaking of family, I’m the only one on both sides of my family that was born out of the state of Illinois.

  8. If you got here through my latest Instagram post, then you already saw this one. I’m allergic to Converse (yes, the shoes). I bought a pair in high school, wore them to dinner and woke up the next morning with purple feet and hives all over my legs. Doctor told me to try them again after a few years…I think I’ll pass.

  9. I have 7 tattoos but no tolerance for pain!

  10. I’ve only gone skiing once in my life and I’m pretty sure I fell around 100 times, definitely collided with a snowboarder and had a bruise the size of basketball on my thigh by the end. Needless to say, I love the mountains/snow but haven’t been back on the slopes since!
